New Bible Study Group Forming
A new bible study group is forming in Fairfield. Two local men who attend the Metropolitan Community Church in Sacramento have received permission to start an open and affirming bible study group in the chapel of Solano Valley Mortuary at 2590 North Texas St in Fairfield. The bible study will be on Sundays at 10:00 AM.
The Metropolitan Community Church was started in 1968 and now has over 42,000 members in almost 300 churches in 22 countries. The church was started by Rev. Elder Troy Perry in Los Angeles. In the bay area there are MCC churches currently located in Stockton, Sacramento, San Francisco and Berkeley.
Metropolitan Community Church believes in offering a chruch home to those who confess and believe. They believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. They believe that every person is justified by grace to God through faith in Jesus Christ.
