Membership

Am I a member?

To find out if you are currently a member of the National School-Age Care Alliance, please call NSACA at 617-298-5012. If you need to renew, there is a spot on the online conference registration for you to do so. To register for the conference online, click here.

Registration

How will I get my confirmation?

This year we have available online confirmation. When registering, you provide a personal word. Within a week, you can go online to the Confirmation page, enter your word and you should see a line with your first name, city, the days you registered for, the total amount you paid and whether you registered for the Saturday function.

We have a few people to register - is there something easier than filling out the form multiple times?

Yes - we can send you an excel chart which you can fill out and send back to the Conference Office. Just make the request by email to regis@nsacaConference.com.

How can I get a receipt for my payment?

The online confirmation indicates the amount of payment received. If this is not adequate documentation for you, a receipt will be available at the conference for you. If you need something additional, you may send a note to receipt@nsacaConference.com - and we'll do our best to meet your need.

What is the cancellation policy?

Registration or Saturday Event cancellations received in writing at the Conference Office prior to January 31 will be refunded after March 15, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations after January 31, 2010. Substitutions may be made at any time. There are no refunds for membership fees.

Why do I have to wait until after the Conference for my refund?

Experience has shown that plans change more than once. Because substitutions can be made up to the beginning of the Conference, we have found the best policy to be to make no refunds until after the Conference.

 

Workshops

What are the Endorser Refreshers?

Endorser refreshers are for those who are trained as Endorsers (administer the accreditation process). They need to go through refresher training periodically - and this is an opportunity for them to do that.

 

How do I know if I am a Leader or an Emerging Leader for Thursdays Workshops?

Like most of us, in some areas we might be a Leader and in others still an Emerging Leader. The good news is, you can select your sessions based on the topic itself, not on the label. You can even switch in the middle of the day if you like.

 

When are the workshops over on Saturday?

Our grand wrap-up on Saturday is the keynote with Ruby Newell Legner. She will finish about 4:30 pm.

 

Hotel

What hotels can you recommend?

NSACA has contracted with the Grand America, Little America, and WestCoast Hotels to provide accommodations for our attendees. NSACA cannot make any other hotel referrals unless those three properties are sold out. Information on all three is available on our site, with links to the hotel web sites as well.

 

General

Where is the conference taking place?

There are workshops in all three hotels (Grand America, Little America, and WestCoast). The plenary sessions and most of the exhibits will be at the Grand America. The Little America is also the site for some of the informational exhibits and the Friday night function.

 

Are any meals included?

Everyone attending the full conference is invited to a lunch and the annual meeting Thursday. Complimentary coffee will be served during breaks.

What is the dress for the Saturday Celebration at Union Pacific Depot (ie. formal, semiformal, business, or casual)?

The Celebration this year will be casual. It is also next to a great shopping mall - this may have bearing on the shoes you choose.
