• Ford Motor Company is handing over the keys to five hybrid hydrogen Ford Focus Fuel Cell vehicles to the State of Florida and Progress Energy as part of a five city, 30 car program to conduct real world testing of fuel cell technology.

H2 Truck Ready for Sale in Europe
H2 Logic and A. Flensborg have released a hydrogen fuel cell powered electrical truck, the so-called H2 Truck for sale, thereby being the first in Europe to start up a larger batch production. The first 6 units of the H2 Truck have already been ordered by Danish customers, the target is sale of 10-15 H2 Truck in the end of 2009. During 2010 sale will be released for countries outside Denmark.

Fuel Cell System Business Will Operate as NuCellSys GmbH
DaimlerChrysler and Ford have taken over the Ballard Power Systems AG in Kirchheim/Teck-Nabern and founded an equally owned Joint Venture. The acquisition is a major step in the realignment of the Fuel Cell Alliance between Ballard Power Systems, DaimlerChrysler and Ford Motor Company.

Research Council Recognizes 'Enormous' Potential of FreedomCAR and Fuel Partnership with USCAR
The FreedomCAR and Fuel Partnership includes the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), United States Council for Automotive Research (USCAR), whose members are DaimlerChrysler Corporation, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Corporation; and five major energy companies.
