When requesting an appointment with one of the jewelers on our site - either by phone or on our website - we ask users to give their name, email address, phone number and zip code. The customer's contact information is used to contact him/her when necessary to arrange the requested service. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. The zip code is used so that we can show you the DiamondsOnWeb jeweler nearest to you. To place a direct order, the customer's credit card number, type, expiration date and billing address are also required. This information is used only to bill the customer for their purchase, and to ship the order to their door.
From our website, users can supply the name and address of their own favorite jeweler to use when viewing our diamonds if that jeweler is not already listed on our website. To do this, we ask for the name and contact information for that jeweler so that we can contact them to arrange the user's appointment. We will only use the jeweler's contact information to contact them about the user's appointment. We also ask that users give their name and email address when requesting their own jeweler. We use this information to contact the user about their jeweler selection and appointment, and we will use this information when initially contacting the jeweler, so that the jeweler will know who is contacting them and why.
Users choosing a jeweler that is already listed on the DiamondsOnWeb site will only need to give us their zip code so that we can show them a list of nearby jewelers. A cookie will be set to remember which jeweler is selected.
Jewelers applying to join the DiamondsOnWeb network through our online form are required to supply information including, but not limited to their company's name, address, phone number, years in business, if they are listed with JBT and the name of the company's owner. This information is used only to evaluate the fitness of the applicant and to contact them regarding their application. No unsolicited contact will be initiated with applying jewelers.
When requesting an appointment with a jeweler, we will provide that jeweler with the customer's name and phone number. Excepting when scheduling an appointment, DiamondsOnWeb does not share any of the data collected from our web site with third parties, partners, or jewelers, however we will release our data when required by law to do so.
If any changes are made to the way in which we use customer information, they will be reflected in this policy.
